CAFCAW’s Steering Committee Meets in Larnaca to Discuss 2023 & 2024 Initiatives

On June 8, 2023, the Christian Academic Forum for Citizenship in the Arab World (CAFCAW) held a steering committee meeting in Larnaca, Cyprus, to discuss various initiatives and activities planned for 2023 and 2024. CAFCAW is an initiative of Dar al-Kalima University that was launched in 2014 to bring together scholars, young graduates, and activists in civil society to promote a culture of full citizenship among the SWANA people and its diaspora.

During the meeting, members discussed several issues about the 2023 initiatives and activities, such as the DAK/CAFCAW round table on culture, religion, higher education, and digital transformation, the national youth workshops in September, and the 2024 program. The members shared their insights and experiences to ensure that these activities align with CAFCAW’s mission of creating more inclusive societies in the region.

A steering committee plays a vital role in any organization; CAFCAW is no exception. The committee oversees the forum’s activities and initiatives. Its members’ dedication and hard work are essential to the success of CAFCAW and its commitment to promoting a culture of full citizenship among the SWANA people and its diaspora.
